Combine in a bowl:
1-14oz can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 tsp grated lime peel & 1/2 cup key lime or lime juice.
Fold in 2 cups of whipping cream (homemade or purchased).
Spoon into a graham cracker crust.
Cover and freeze at least 2 hours.
Spread whipping cream over the top and decorate with limes. Luscious!
Use 4 large ears of corn, cut off the cob or a 1-lb bag of frozen corn.
Put into the crockpot with 1 large onion, chopped and
1 stalk of celery, chopped and
1 tbp butter & 1 1/2 cups of cubed potatoes and
1 cup of water & 3 tsp chicken bouillon granules and seasonings.
Cook on low 8-9 hours.
Mix 6 tbsp of flour with 3 cups skim milk & stir into the corn chowder slowly until thickened.
Summertime corny goodness.
Mix 2 cups of sugar with 1 stick of butter, 3 tbsp of cocoa powder and 1/2 cup milk.
Boil for 1 minute.
Add 1/2 cup of crunchy peanut butter & 1 tsp vanilla extract.
Mix, then add 3 cups of oatmeal (not instant) and mix again.
Drop spoonfuls on wax (parchment) paper.
Set and cool. Makes 2 dozen. These are Cool Cookies.
Thinly slice yellow or zucchini squash.
Lay flat on a baking pan sprayed with cooking spray.
Drizzle some olive oil and season.
Bake on low until your ready to eat. If they haven’t gotten crispy just turn up the heat.
These are delicious, healthy and low fat.
What makes these meatballs merry?
The toothpicks you put in them when you serve them on a platter.
They look as good as they taste!
In a bowl mix 1 1/2 pds ground beef and
1/4 cup of dry seasoned bread crumbs with
1/4 grated Parmesan cheese, 3 tblsp Worcestershire Sauce and 1 egg.
Shape into 1-inch meatballs.
Place on baking pan and cook at 425 degrees for 15 minutes.
Serve party style with your favorite sauce (bottled or homemade) or
simmer with Marinara Sauce and toss with pasta. Make more merry meals.
Grits make the perfect side dish.
These are not just for Breakfast.
In a pot bring 2 cups of water or chicken broth to a boil.
Add 1/2 cup of quick-cooking grits. Stir.
Add in one beaten egg. Stir.
Remove from the heat and stir in 1 cup of shredded cheese (your favorite or what needs to be eaten) and 1 tblsp of butter.
Spoon the grits into a 1-quart casserole pan and bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
These cook while you finish the rest of your dinner. They are great with anything!
This is my Husband’s FAVORITE meal!
The great thing is that he couldn’t pick anything EASIER.
Just boil a large pot of water and add seasonings. My favorite is Old Bay.
You can cook crab legs frozen or thawed.
Just throw them in the boiling water.
If they are thawed you cook them for 2 minutes. Frozen, cook for 4 minutes.
Do not overcook them and they will come out of the shell perfectly.
Serve with lemon and melted butter.
Spread newspapers on the table and it will feel like a party.
I don’t like coleslaw with too much mayo.
This is warm bacon vinegar heaven.
In a large skillet cook 3 or 4 slices of diced bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towel.
Add 1/3 cup of diced onion to the bacon fat in the skillet
and cook until softened (about 2 minutes).
Pour in 1/4 cup of cider vinegar and 1/4 cup of water into the pan.
Stir and scrape up the browned bits in the pan and bring to a boil.
Add 4 packed cups of shredded cabbage to the pan and salt and pepper.
Cook, stirring until wilted but crunchy about 4 minutes.
Season and Serve.
What a way to get your veggies!
In a large bowl blend 2 8-1/2 oz pkgs of cornbread mix and
a 16 oz container of creamy cottage cheese.
Add 2 beaten eggs and a chopped onion.
Mix well and add chopped fresh broccoli (or a package of frozen).
Pour into a 13′ x 9″ baking pan.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
While still warm, sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Let cool. That’s cool.
Can u believe these have only 3 ingredients?
They are Sweet, Salty, Crunchy, Chewy and Yummy.
Simply place a Piece of Rolo candy on top of a pretzel.
Top with a pecan half.
Bake at 350 degrees for a few minutes until candy melts.
Perfect for parties or pampering.
