This is the southern way. Coat crockpot with cooking spray and add a layer of sliced potatoes. Dot with butter and splash with half and half and seasonings then shredded cheese. Continue the layers ending with the shredded cheese. Cook on low if you have lots of time or high if you want to eat in a few hours. TIP: You can slice your potatoes earlier that day or even a few days before and keep in fridge in water. Dry before using. This really makes it easy.
