My 17 year old son was asking me to teach him to cook just as I was begining to boil eggs for a recipe. I asked him if he knew how to boil eggs. He said “you peel the eggs then boil them”. I said “that would be poached eggs”. I’ll share with you what I taught him. Boil eggs (in the shell-ha). The secret is to add some salt, then they will peel perfect. As soon as they reach a rolling boil turn off the stove and let sit for at least ten minutes. When they are cool enough to handle, peel and put in zip-type bag and store until needed up to a week.
